1. Pre-connection checklist
To enable payment acceptance via Solidgate on your customizable checkout page, you must have an active account on the platform. If you don't have one, contact their sales team.
Note that Solidgate may accept legal entities established in the following countries or regions: the European Union (EEA), the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and select markets in Latin America (LATAM) and Asia-Pacific (APAC). So, if you are not a business from these geos, and you do not have a local bank account or operations there, this PSP will not be available for you.
Solidgate also offers highly competitive transaction-tied commissions, specialized retry logic and dedicated account management . Also, decline rates could be low, while authorization rates remain high, often seeing a lift of up to 15% through network tokenization. This PSP is generally merchant-oriented, once the KYC/KYB is complete and onboarding is done.
2. Setting up Solidgate on Checkify's checkout
The secure, no-code connection between Solidgate and Checkify Plus requires a few setup steps. Visit Admin > Payment methods > Solidgate to get started. Press "Connect +" button and keep this page open in a tab.
2.1 How to get your API credentials
Visit Solidgate Hub > Developers > Channels.
Enter one of the channels available for you. Pay attention to the environment. The real (non-sandbox) would require a Live environment.
Copy-paste Public and Secret API keys from Solidgate (live channel) to the appropriate fields in the Checkify admin > Payment methods > Solidgate.
Reveal the webhook secret key in the Solidgate Hub, then copy-paste it in the appropriate field in the Checkify admin > Payment methods > Solidgate.
Press "Connect +" button. You will get a success message and will be taken to the Payment methods page of the admin. However, the payment processing is not yet completely ready for operation. Continue to the next step, webhooks configuration, in order to finalize the setup.
2.2 Webhook configuration
Webhook endpoints are required for real time exchange of events (status updates) between Checkify Plus and the payment gateway. Follow the steps below to create a new webhook with some of the required settings:
Visit Solidgate Hub > Developers > Channels.
Open your channel used for Checkify and press “+ Add an endpoint” button.
Pick the required events from the drop-down menu, one-by-one: Received card dispute, Received PayPal dispute, Updated alternative order, Updated card order.
Add the webhook URL. The format is
https://pay.checkify.plus/payments/webhook/solidgate
This link is also available in the Checkify admin > Payment methods > Solidgate drawer, and can be copied in one click from there.
Confirm your actions by pressing the "Add" button.
2.3 Additional options
When adding Solidgate as a payment method on Checkify Plus, you will also able to configure some additional options.
i. Currencies.
You can stick to the default list of available currencies to provide a broad, localized experience for international buyers.
Otherwise, it is possible to fine-tune your currency preferences for the checkout page by de-selecting specific currencies that do not align with your business model or settlement requirements.
ii. Target countries.
You can select specific countries or regions for which this payment method will be displayed.
3. Supported currencies
Solidgate supports over 100 currencies. This number may change by the time, so we recommend to refer to the full list as presented in their official documentation here.
If the default currency of your Checkify Plus account is not one of them, the integration with Solidgate will not work. In other words, the currency of the checkout page should be in one of those currencies.
4. Resolving common issues
🙀 How do I refund the payment for an order received via Solidgate?
We recommend using the native Checkify Plus refund flow for orders. This process is fully automated: Checkify Plus and Solidgate will exchange data (via webhooks). Your changes made on Checkify > Orders section will be reflected on Solidgate's dashboard (transactions).
🙀 Which payment processors, apart from Solidgate, are available?
Checkify Plus customers can collect payments via Stripe, PayPal, Binance Merchant Pay, and manual payment methods (cash on delivery).
It is a common practice to have more than one payment gateway active. For example, Stripe + PayPal or Binance + PayPal, and a manual payment method in addition to that.
